Otherwise known as: What on earth do you eat?
Granted. . . at first the children exclaimed, “This IS NOT breakfast!”. It only took a minute to convince them veggies for breakfast are a great idea.
Only one of my children has an issue with the soup. . . and he has an issue with all kinds of soup (and is the one that needs bone broth the most). I made this using 2 quarts of chicken bone broth + one head of cauliflower + garlic + basil + a few TBS of heavy cream.
Everyone gobbled this meal up, no drama at all. Honestly I could have eaten more and may go for double the amount of meat next time. We seasoned the steak with our favorite pepper blend and grilled for a few minutes. Easy peasy. Sweet potato sticks fried in coconut oil and topped with Celtic Sea Salt is HEAVENLY. No joke.
The other night was extremely stressful. . . events of the evening coupled with my infertility treatments left me craving chocolate. So, while hubs ran to Dairy Queen for something intrinsically evil. . . I whipped up a healthier treat for me at home. I found these Almond Fudge Brownies over at The Food Lovers Kitchen. I topped it with a few Dagoba dark chocolate chips and a drizzle of that delicious cream.
Eat Well. Be Well.
