Gluten Free Chocolate Granola?

I’m so there… 🙂

Despite having high (ish…) standards regarding real food, this Mama cannot turn down chocolate.

Recently the folks at Enjoy Life sent us some delicious Double Chocolate Crunch (Nut and Gluten Free) Granola.

All of Enjoy Life’s products are certified gluten free by Gluten Free Certification Organization (GFCO) and free of the 8 most common food allergens (wheat, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, soy, fish, and shellfish).  They also contain no artificial ingredients, no trans fats, and no GMO ingredients.  As of March 2011, there were 32 Enjoy Life products avaliable in the United States arriving from Enjoy Life’s 40,000 sq ft dedicated facility.

I should also point out that this granola is oat free… like many, I’ve been lulled into thinking Certified GF Oats are safe… but I’ve never actually taken them out of our diets to see if we can tolerate them.  Recently, I rediscovered that even certified oats CAN be problematic for Celiacs… so the girls are giving oats up (reluctantly) for a few months until I can be sure they are healthy and then we will start sampling again.

My favorite way to enjoy this Double Chocolate Crunch Granola is mixed in with organic, whole milk, vanilla yogurt.  Yum-O!

I’m also envisioning chocolate granola bars in our future…
