The Best Gift EVER…

We tend to stick to GFCF pancakes around here because we have ONE waffle iron which is used (and has been for years) for regular waffles… it’s not safe to make gluten free waffles in the same iron, so we opt for freezer ones (ew!) or pancakes.

For Christmas, 6 year old K3 received a Hello Kitty Waffle iron that Nana had nabbed on clearance for $4! Seriously.

So Christmas morning, we made GFCF waffles and regular waffles. Tasty. I used my dry pancake mix and substituted oil for the melted margarine.

That’s one happy girl! Now I need to get a GF toaster and we will be set! I detest using the oven on broil to toast!

  1. Waffles taste the same no matter what shape they are…she looks very happy.

We are getting at a point where the kids can make their own stuff (with guidance) since my wife has handled soem homeschool fieldtrips to a local Young Chef’s Academy here. They love it when they can eat something that they make themselves!
