Packing lunches can be a challenge. I get bored of what is in their lunches… so don’t they? Evidently not so much, because they keep asking for peanut butter sandwiches.
When K3 was diagnosed with all her allergies… I had to reconsider the lunchbox. The other kids are allowed to have school lunch twice a week. We have discussed with them that school lunches are not nutritious, so moderation is the key. They are okay with this. Every week, we read over the menu and they pick out the two days (hopefully without any fighting and arguing because the two days are the same for both kiddos!). K3 takes cold lunch every day. In addition, I have to pack snacks for kindergarten and kindercare. This can be difficult!
So what is in a GFCF lunchbox?
Tortilla wedges (2 corn tortillas, with organic peanut butter and natural jelly sandwiched together and cut into triangles)
EnviroKidz Rice Snack Bar (These are Yummy) in Berry… News Flash- I have discovered that the kids DO NOT LIKE THE BERRY ONES.
Organic Baby Carrots
All Natural Stretch Island Fruit Leather
Organic Apple Juice Box
GFCF Pretzel O’s by Ener-G
And the box usually comes home empty… so I must be on the right track.
